It is a very well known term now a days.It means to attend nursing to the persons in cases of serious injury or sudden illness before a doctor's arrival .Esmarch is the founder of this noble mission.He was a german.He was born at schleswig holstein in Germany.He had written two books entitled First aid tothe injured and first aid in the battle.These two are his most valuable contributions in the field of social service.The utility of this noble service is unavoidable and immense .It promotes among the participants noble qualities like fellow feeling,gentleness,tact,preservance,skill,resourcefulness and avobe all,physical and mental awarness. First aid should be imposed in to our school curriculun as a beneficial training like other compulsary course of the students in the madhyamik level.

Malaria is one of the most dreadful diseases.The people suffering from malaria become very weak with enlarged spleen and slowly succumb to death.The symptoms of this disease are high fever with acute shivering and loss of appetite.Malignant malaria is a fatal disease,but other types of malaria may be cured by administering quinine.
Malaria is prevalent all over the world ,but it is common disease in all afro asian countries.Sir Ronald Ross did research work in calcutta and ultimately found out that mosquito bite was the cause of malaria fever.He won nobel prize in medicine for his research on malaria fever.Thousands of people living in indian villages were affected by this disease before 2nd world ware when preventive measures were effectively undertaken by spreading DDT extensively.As a result the breeding places of mosquitoes were delicted and eliminated.But recently malaria re-appeared in our county and specially in west bengal in an alarming dimension.Inspite of using mosquito at every house during the day and night.There was a time when quinine could not be purchased without the prescription of a medical practioner and the department of malaria in the hospitals of calcutta were closed.But the sudden attack of malaria in calcutta and the districts has caught the attention of the state government and it has been decided that separate department for treatment of malaria should be set up in all state hospitals in west bengal.The government has taken action to spray mosquito repellent in a bid to control the outbreak of malaria in order to eradicate malaria totally,general public should be conscious and take preventive measures to eliminate mosquito from every heart and home.

National Intergration Or Communal Harmony
India is a vast country having different religion,Language,caste and creed.But in spite of so so many diversities,there is an underlying unity in india.It should be the duty of every indian to foster the force of integration at any cost.But during the british rule there was dissension between different religious and linguistic groups and the british nourished the same for the benefit of divide and rule.It was desirable that after independence we will be able to solve the differences and inequalities prevailing the length and breadth of india,but we had totally failed in this respect.The agitation in punjab,assam and insurgency in mizoram,nagaland and kashmir have been growing enormously and our enemies have got opportunities to fish in troubled water.The situation has been so grave that thousands innocent lives have been falling to the bullets of terrorists .It is an urgent need to stop insurgency at any cost,so that indian of all hue and creed could live very peacefully.
In order to maintain and develop national integration efforts should be made to highlight the emotional integration.There are numerous patriots and rational men who could realise the importance of maintaining national unity and solidarity of the country.They can realize that the different parts of india are inter dependent and non of them could survive as seperate political entity.Efforts should therefore be made to remove all causes of fears and suspicion and rigional sentiments like caste,race,language and religion should be permanently wiped out.This cannot be done by showing banner and posters or by giving slogans and lectures.We should have to study the problems sincerely and try to remove the grievnces of the people without causing any harm to national feelings.The evils of illiteracy,ignorance and superstition should be eradicated and tolerance secularism should be cultivated.Inter-state games and sports,seminers and cultural activities should be widened to fight against narrow political thought and outlook.
